Ballarat's Bush Champions

A joint project between the Ballarat Environment Network and the Victoria Naturally Alliance, it’s hoped the eight short stories in Ballarat’s Bush Champions will inspire Victorians everywhere to care more for their bush and the amazing wildlife it is home to.

Ecological processes paper released

A discussion paper commissioned by the Victoria Naturally Alliance warns that current conservation measures are likely to fail unless the management of ecological processes such as water flows and the movement of animals and seeds are included in future conservation strategies.

Green Paper submission period closes

The period for submissions to the State Government's Land and Biodiversity at a Time of Climate Change Green Paper has closed.

It's believed that close to 1000 submissions have been made to the Green Paper, which was launched in April by environment minister Gavin Jennings at the Grow West site in Bacchus Marsh.
